Grimes North Sports Complex @ shed North of softball fields  

6th Grade  6:00 - 6:30

5th Grade 6:30 - 7:00 

4th Grade  7:00 - 7:30

• 3rd grade is 8-Man flag football with soft shell helmets. Cost is $120 for the season. 
• 4th grade is 8-Man fully padded flag. Cost is $225. 
• 5th grade is 8-Man tackle. Cost is $225. 
• 6th grade is 11-Man tackle. Cost is $225. 

Each grade level will practice together.  Teams will be assigned after the first 4-5 practices.  

PRE-SEASON PRACTICE SCHEDULE (THIS IS FOR PLAYERS IN PADS - 4th, 5th & 6th) – First Two Weeks of Practice (6-8pm):

Monday, 8/19 – no pads
Tuesday 8/20 – no pads
Wednesday 8/ 21 – no pads
Thursday 8/22 – helmets only

Sunday 8/25 – helmets only
Monday 8/26 – full pads
Tuesday 8/27 – full pads
Thursday 8/29 – full pads

* * 3rd Graders will practice 2xs a week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6PM, starting on Tuesday August 20, through the end of the season, since they are not in full pads.

Each grade level will practice together as one group. Actual team assignments will come out towards the end of Pre-Season camp.

Teams within each grade level will continue to practice together as one group for the remainder of the season.

REGULAR SEASON PRACTICE SCHEDULE:

Weekly practices for 3rd graders, same as above: 2xs a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 6PM until 7:30PM or Dark, unless otherwise designated by your coaches.

Weekly practices for 4th graders, starting on Tuesday, 9/3: practice 2xs a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays
starting at 6PM until 7:30PM or Dark, unless otherwise designated by your coaches.

Weekly Practices for 5th and 6th Grade starting 9/2 (Labor Day): 3xs a week on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
starting at 6PM until 7:30PM or Dark, unless otherwise designated by your coaches.

The DCG Youth Football league is part of the greater IDYFL.  The IDYFL also includes clubs from ADM, Carroll, Johnston, Norwalk, Perry and Waukee Northwest

3rd, 4th & 5th Grade will practice on the fields at the North Sports Complex, the address is 750 NW 27th Street, Grimes, IA.

- 3rd Grade will practice on the field east of the North Complex parking lot (the field closest to North Ridge Elementary School). Pick up and drop off is easiest by using the North Ridge Elementary parking lot.
- 4th Grade will practice on the fields to the west of the North Complex parking lot. Pick up and drop off is easiest by using the North Ridge Sports Complex parking lot. 
- 5th Grade will practice on the fields to the west of the North Complex parking lot. Pick up and drop off is easiest by using the North Ridge Sports Complex parking lot. 

6th Grade will practice on the north football practice fields at the Dallas Center Grimes High School (2555 W 1st St, #200, Grimes, IA)
- Pick up and drop off is easiest by using the parking lot to the west of the football stadium and driving north towards the shotput and discus area.
